Well, I just hope Iran returns them safely. It appears Iran likes to show its might.

If they don't, yeah, I can see problems brewing fast.

Nothing against the British, but I'm glad it's not American soldiers. Just would like to see a different country get mixed up in the mess for once.

...the mess that America started?

Your understanding of recent American History scares me.

Think back: why did the Iraq war start?

If you're expecting me to say "because they attacked the WTC" then I am seriously scared for you.

I wouldn't place the blame of this event on the United States. That's just pushing your agenda. Iran is nuts and is completely a mind of its own. They will do anything just to even try and get some attention (defying the UN, denying the Holocaust, pursuing nuclear weapons, etc.). However, I know arguing about politics with Freelancer is completely pointless and futile, so I'll just end here

Because you said that we started the mess. I was pointing out that we didn't attack the WTC, and suddenly you're going on about Iraq attacking the WTC?

7-millionth? You didn't say it in the first place, and you're wrong.

You honestly believe the Iraq war would have happened when it did had we not been attacked?

Edit: You know what, forget it. It's not worth blowing this thread out of proportion over your lack of understanding of basic history concepts. You want to argue with me, do it in PM.

Excellent. This is the justification we need to invade Iran. Soon the middle-east will be crushed and young Ahmadinejhad will be one of us.

In other news: U.S. House votes complete withdrawl in 2008.
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

They were apprehended by the Revolutionary Guards Corps Navy. The Revolutionary Guard act with somewhat autonomy, so I'm not really surprised they'd do something like this. They're not really concerned with international posterity, so they're a somewhat free radical force. Iran should have controlled them long ago, but since they outnumber Iranian regulars, I'm sure any attempt to disband them would be met with a coup, and an even more militant Islamic government would replace the current one.

The only way they could possibly connected is that the Iraq war erroneously fulfilled some kind of barbaric bloodlust-need for Americans.

Nothing at all, of course. Regional politics don't exist. The removal of one check to Iran has nothing to do with this. So what a long standing enemy of Iran was eliminated.

You guys seriously must have sucked at connect the dots. Freelancer is right. The removal of Iraq, the straining of America's power, and local power vacuums have made Iran try for grabbing regional power. They're acting more ballsy as a result of this. Put it this way, nothing done within the region has hampered their sentiment.
