How do I install a hard disk in XP?

I bought an 80 gig hd. It shows up in the boot sequence and device manager but not in my computer. I think I need to fdisk it or format it or something, but I don't know how to do that when there's no drive letter or anything. :confused:

Yeah you have to right click on "My Computer" and go to "manage" and then in there go to "disk management" and then do some voodoo and sacrifice 25 virgins to the dark lord Bal'arz'garoth and then the disk should show up.

*note: I'm not entirely sure about some of this process

Yeah, you should see your new hard drive in there with no partitions. Just make a new partition, choose NTFS or FAT32, and you're done!
