...because it's Massassi's birthday! How could you ever forget.

Happy Birthday, old internet website!

Man, how old is the baby now?

Older than I.

-Well not really. But still, old enough that, like, it wouldn't be awkward and creepy if it was a chick and we were dating.

....it would be nine years old.

Thank you for adding that...comment....Jarl.

Anyway, 9 years makes you think of all the good times (and bad) of Massassi.

It appears I have been on Massassi for slightly longer than half its age.

I am shocked, shocked by this development.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

That's certainly a formidable age for a web site.

i remember stumbling across massassi way back when. it was sorta funny because all of massassi's news posts were basically references to news posted on jediknight.net. now, we have no news posts. :(

2007-03-27, 1:59 AM #11
When I started JK editing in 1998 I only visited jediknight.net and JK Outpost, and for some reason I never discovered Massassi back then. I even had downloaded 5600 Block and it had the link on the readme but I didn't realize that until 2001.

As for next year, I can't imagine what 10-year-fest anyone could organize, especially when JK games are practically dead and people just debate about religion here. Hm.

ahh the good old JK days when I was in a role playing military that beat up rebels and had gay ranks, infighting and everything.

And IRC wars.

Jedi Knight rpgs. Those were fun. Sadly, not anymore. :(

Well, I'm sure this is the only site that hasn't been redesigned in nine years...
Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

Wow, I cannot believe I have been apart of Massassi for 7 years. Even though the site may look the same, visually, much has changed here in that amount of time.

I think the first level I downloaded from Massassi would be JHS. Fun level, I must say.

The first level that I ever downloaded was called something like ATST Factory or something like that. I remember that the level did not have the right colormaps because a lot of the textures looked like it had that pink pixelation all over it.

Wowsers. Happy Birthday! Half my life has been at Massassi . . .

Hopefully a new JK game will come and revive the SW-oriented part of this site that has been relatively dead. Then again, I doubt that will happen. The discussion forum will just keep on truckin'.

Pure Awe is what is was. And it still is, to me. I just beat the whole game on hard with only my saber, Light Side, with lots of speed running. Plus I played Life Of A Merchant II, An equally enjoyable free mod/level, which I hadn't spotted until the last time I played this game, some 10 years ago. Let's just say this video game/masterpiece/art/mental/imaginary orgasm absolutely killed my childhood academic career and all my REM sleep. Multiplayer has yet to be matched in my opinion. The sheer fury and speed, the dynamics, the vertigo. Good Stuff. And not to talk about Full Force. Although I had much respect for the 2-7 force levels, certainly the lower ones. Ok blahblah. Anyone want to PLAY A MULTIPLAYER GAME ?
I can't seem to be able to find a game anywhere. Does massassi have a irc ?
Anyways, LETS PLAY A GAME. SOMEONE POST AN IP. NOW.
2007-03-28, 1:32 AM #32
ANYONE WANT TO PLAY A GAME OF IT ?

LETS RIP 3D SPACE WITH SOME CONC MADNESS.
IF NOT, POST AN IP.

LETS DO IT, YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO.

BEST GAME. EVER.

Five and a half years for me. I think. (Oct 01 is when I first registered for the EC/LC system)

I remember when I first joined, people were talking about having been at Massassi for four years and I was thinking how incredible that was.

As do I... for a short while I thought "lastest" was correct spelling because of that Showcase description. :P

Also, even this discussion forum page is full of classics like Cloud's teacher thread.

And (obviously) people were already telling how JK was dead and Massassi had changed for the worse back then. Good stuff.

Haha lord.

It's annoying that not everyone here likes JK now, probably most don't have it. It's just become a forum with no purpose :(

The other day there was a SOTW where someone had made Sam and the admin had posted saying he didn't know who he was. Only the best JK secret! Ahh ... ahh I'm dieing ... ahhh ... no, must not die, still have Jedi Master Episode 3 to release :P
