bleh, i couldn't see the trailer cus my comp hates me. but i dont really care. GTA has been the same damn game since it went 3D. i aint gonna buy it, i aint gonna play it, and i aint gonna give a damn when my freinds get all excited about it.

Graphics are amazing, the trailer was short. The main character we're going to be playing looks and sounds Russian (not confirmed though), thus blah.

This game is supposed to be different, hence the "IV" part, not the "III" where all the games of Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories, etc. come into play.

The whole point in the next generation of them is because they can use the new engine without the limitations of before. And even if the 3D ones so far were a bit samey, they were still goddamn fun.

Graphics does look very good. Hopefully, there will be much attention to detail throughout the game.

If this was only PS3 exclusive, I could see how Sony could have been the winner.

If they put as much detail into character and story development as they did with San Andreas, I'll be SOOOOOOOOOOO stoked. This looks fantastic. I hope they do some of the game in the early parts in Russia, just to give us a new feel for a little while before immigrating or something along those lines. :neckbeard::neckbeard::neckbeard:

Am I the only one who thinks that it doen't really look that good? It looks more like Half Life 2 than anything else.

And regardless, this trailer sucked. I want a friggin gameplay trailer, not a bunch of scenes from around the town.

HL2, kinda, better to me. But imagine--it's going to be a seamless, grand world full of possibilities, looking like that, and with considerable gameplay upgrades. I'm excited.

Unlikely, remember the last 3 GTA games all featured a character who had just arrived in the city.

Plus there aren't any cool cars to steal in Russia, they all suck :P

The graphics were ok, but about what you expect from a current gen game. I'm spoiled from looking at Crysis, I guess.

I hope it's a deeper story than SA.

I loved SA, it was an amazing game, but the notion of "you can't continue missions til you get X amount of turf." was just stupid. It was lengthening the game by simply giving you a simple, repetitive task.

Also, branching story arches, actions effect mission layout and availability, less stupid repetitive stuff ("You can't date me til you hit the shift key 1,000,000 times"). Just a more deep game in general would be nice, as well as a better combat system.

I can hope, it's next gen.

Well, I guess I have to buy an Xbox.

I'm hoping they bring back the oil slicks from GTA II. Of course, I hope for that with every new GTA game. No matter how hard I've tried in the 3D games, nothing has ever equaled the delightful carnage of 8 puddles of oil on a busy road with populated sidewalks.

I hated the turf system. It was fun trying to take over new territories, but the rival gangs seemed to attack just as often.

GTA has never been the best when it comes to graphics. The fact that this will expand upon the features in SA while looking like HL2 is why it looks good.

Looks pretty swell, of course it will probably eat my PC but I suppose I might have a better one when it comes out.

While the environment and cars look pretty, somehow I'm not particularly impressed with the character models. They don't look that big of a step ahead of the previous games. Also, I really hope they don't have people speaking Russian in the game - the insanely retarded American accents most "Russian" mafia people have in action movies are usually enough to completely turn me off from watching the before mentioned movies altogether, or at least to disregard them as completely silly, no matter how seriously they expect you to take the plot.

I never really had a problem with the gang wars. Used it to max out most of my weapon stats, and as long as I was systematic I just wiped out the map, and never really had to defend (which just told me I needed to work on another sector)

After I sucked a lot at gang wars, I just decided to climb on roofs and shoot people, and sometimes when there were just a few left I climbed down and shot them. Easy as pie.

It's GTA, it's meant to be cartoony and ridiculous.

I loved with the turf wars, when you finally get all the territory, nothing happens. Just no more gang attacks.

I'm excited about this game. Or at least about its eventual PC release.
