This article rubs me the wrong way:

Oh dear god! An alcoholic beverage that is "too cute" and might make kids want to start drinking!

The rest of the world must think the US is sooo stupid to let a company make a drink that people under 21 might want to consume. Oh wait, the drinking age is only 18 in most/all of Europe  Not sure about the rest of the world though.

Honestly, what teenager is gonna say "well I never wanted to drink until I saw those cute little alcohol bottles"?

They look like shampoo bottles. And the last time I drank shampoo. . .well, it wasn't the best tasting thing.

Oh my god, that is so stupid. Most kids are not going to drink because the drink looks childish, most kids start drinking because they are curious (and no bottle will change that one way or another) or because they think it makes them seem older, or cooler, or whatever. A drink that has the appearance of seeming "childish" or "cute" is not going to draw in kids.

Though i have to say, a tiny bottle of alchohol for less than a dollar will probobly draw in a lot of broke boozers instead.

I doubt that last part is true. A true boozer would be more economical than to pay 75 cents to a dollar for a shot of what is equal to wine. It's going to take them about 10 shots to even start getting drunk. So thats about $7.50 to $10 to get drunk, whereas I can go to a local store and buy a six-pack of 16 ounce cans of High Life for under $4 (not good beer but its damn cheap) and it gets me- er I mean, most people plenty drunk.

Isnt that why they stopped selling Hooch here?

I can remember all sorts of uproar over alcopops being marketed at kids in the 90s.

This is one of the stupidest thing I have ever heard. The company's final response on how to curb youth drinking makes so much freaking sense you'd have to be retarded to disagree.

Idiots. Do they not understand the appeal of alcohol in the first place? Seriously, there's a difference between a high school kid and a a six year old. Why do we have to share a planet with people who continually make a stink about issues that they don't understand?

I just thought of something.

This company has followed the formula to the letter and created the perfect chick drink: low in alcohol, colorful, fruity, sweet, in a "cute" bottle. Basically alcoholic candy.

Parent groups are concerned that "the children" (but never theirs) will find this alcoholic beverage appealing.

Therefore, by extension, we can assume that women are infantile.

My logic is flawless.

We should allow people of all ages to consume alcohol legally. Then note the decrease in drunkenness and other undesirability associated with alcohol. Then slap ourselves for enforcing such a misinformed chunk of social engineering.

I've seen much harder alcohol in way fruitier bottles than that.

Of course its targeted at teens... But obviously not all teens (like the majority of the teens on this site) will actually be interested in buying this product. As it is, its more aimed towards young girls and there aren't that many of them here.

Laura: This stuff is sweeet! It comes in a tiny little bottle you can take with you...so cute!

MurMur6: I wonder if it still tastes good if you heat it up lol

ElNina2000: I agree with Laura... the bottles are adorable

MyTy: I'm gonna try putting one in the microwave...see what happens? lol

Stevie7: Actually this is my girlfriend's favorite too...she takes them in her purse everywhere.

I love how everyone is ****ting themselves over the fact that the bottle is small and it can be sneaked into events.

Uh, have these people never heard of Mini-Jacks, or other mini-liquor bottles?
