IF wii ever has an advanced operating system, then it needs this.

The point isn't to be messy. The point is intuitive organization.

My desktop is already messy, so using it wouldn't really change anything aside from providing excessive Aero-like visualization.

Personally, though, I like how my desktop is fine. On the other hand, I agree that if the Wii winds up having the capability for a desktop-like interface, (the current "channels" menu could use some work...) I bet they could sell this feature for $5US a pop, and get ANOTHER few million easy. I could imagine just about anyone messing around with this for hours.

I could see this as useful for people who have a lot of difficulty with computers. It really is pretty intuitive, even more so with a tablet and pen. It would make more sense to people than the tree structure of a hard drive.
