How do I get a link to open up in a new tab with just a left click?

I don't think you can't without an extension if the link isn't in the firefox browser. If it's in the browser "Open in new tab", or middleclick.

Get tge Tabbrowser Extensions extension. It'll let you open all links in a new window, or ones outside the current sites domain, or whatever you want.

Or you can just do it the easy way and CTRL+CLICK a link. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/tongue.gif]

[Edit: Or SHIFT+CTRL+CLICK a link to open in a new tab and switch to that tab]

But yeah if you want EVERY link to open in a new tab you need the "Tabbrowser Preferences" extention.

Clicking the mousewheel also works as well, if you have one.

Yeah, middle-click by default will open a link in a new tab, unless your using Windows with the Logitech drivers installed and set to defaults . . which captures the middle-click and runs its own script instead.

I just set up firefox to act like my opera. What you want is tabbrowser extension. And then you go to options, extensions, tabbrowser extensions, and there will be a host of options for you to select from there. [http://forums.massassi.net/html/smile.gif]
