I wasnät able to partition mz HD right for some reason..... ugh

Now everzthing is messed up, and Iäm running from a linux cd.

I need to format mz HD, and I am not sure how to do that from linux. Anzone know ?

Do you want to re-install Windows or what?

If so, just put the Windows CD in, change the BIOS settings to the CD drive is the first boot device, and go from there.

Uh, depends on what kind of filesystem...

Do you want a linux filesystem (ext2, ext3, reiserfs, etc)?

Do you want FAT or FAT32?

Do you want NTFS? (If so, you're screwed, it can't be done in linux)

Yea, it can.
Ever heard of FUSE and NTFS-3g? There is support for it in the latest Gparted live CD. That's usually how I do my Windows installs, it formats a hell of a lot faster then the Windows CD.

I guess for some reason he used a German Linux CD and didn't change the keyboard mappings. That would also explain why he wrote ä instead of '.
