Post your Bushisms

"Make no mistake about it, I understand how tough it is, sir. I talk to families who die." --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C., Dec. 7, 2006

"It's bad in Iraq. Does that help?" --George W. Bush, after being asked by a reporter whether he's in denial about Iraq, Washington, D.C., Dec. 7, 2006

"And truth of the matter is, a lot of reports in Washington are never read by anybody. To show you how important this one is, I read it, and our guest read it." --George W. Bush, on the Baker-Hamilton Report, appearing with British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Washington, D.C., Dec. 7, 2006

"Anybody who is in a position to serve this country ought to understand the consequences of words." --George W. Bush, interview with Rush Limbaugh, Nov. 1, 2006

Somebody floats a rumor and that causes you to ask a question. That is the game in american politics, and I refuse to play it. That is a game, and I refuse to play. And you just fell for the trap.

Code to the left of him, code to the right of him, code in front of him compil'd and thundered. Programm'd at with shot and $SHELL. Boldly he typed and well. Into the jaws of C. Into the mouth of PERL. Debug'd the 0x258.

True. But I'm going off of history how benign threads turn rancid lightning quick esp. when it comes to politics.

If it gets that bad just close it. I wouldn't want to start a political war here.

I appreciate the Prime Minister's answer to this lad -- we call them lads, in Great Britain.
-- Dubya claims British citizenship for himself, Washington, D.C., Dec. 7, 2006

These people don't have tanks. They don't have ships. They hide in caves. They send suiciders out.
-- Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Nov. 1, 2002

Listen, I was so sympathetic yesterday... I mean, Sunday, to Ariel Sharon. When he's standing in my office, obviously agonizing over the loss of innocent life, the clear attempt of murdering innocent people and a successful attempt of murdering innocent people.
-- Dubya tooting his own horn, and getting tongue-tied as usual, Barbara Walters interview, Dec. 4, 2001

We stand for a culture of life in which every person matters, every being counts. We stand for marriage and family, which are the foundations of society. We stand for the Second Amendment.

"For every fatal shooting, there were roughly three non-fatal shootings. And, folks, this is unacceptable in America. It's just unacceptable. And we're going to do something about it."

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

I wasn't aware you *****ed that much. I definately agree that you never offer any contributions to threads, though.

My girlfriend has a poster of these, I can take a picture or something if anyone is interested. There's probably like 30 quotes on it.

I think my freshman-year roommate had that poster too.

Heh, one of the guys in the dorms had that poster too. We ended up drawing al over it with permanent markers, giving Bush horns and stuff, when we got drunk one night.

My sophomore year, we had a life-sized cardboard cutout of Dubya in our room. We placed it diagonally across the room from the door, so that it was the first thing you saw when you came in. Until they got used to it, people (including my roommates and I) would freak out, thinking it was a real person.

We also had to put up a sign stating that anyone who vandalized the cutout would have to pay for a replacement. I'm still amazed he made it through the year.

I think in one of the "post your picture" threads on Massassi, there's a picture of me with him.

Anyway, to make this post legit:

"I'm honored to shake the hand of a brave Iraqi citizen who had his hand cut off by Saddam Hussein."

A guy on my floor in the halls has that poster, too. I guess it's popular with the "omg bush h8!" crew :P
