While digging through the old news on SciFi.com, I came across this blurb about the long-rumored-awaited X-Files 2 movie:

I'd see it in a heartbeat if they actually do it this time. Last I heard, the creator [forgot his name] was in some sort of legal dispute with FOX, and that's why the movie was put on hold.

I'm a huge X-Files fan and hope they go through with it. I was just reading about this the other day on some other site.

Really, really excited about this. The Series finale was both a let down and giant tease, and I really hope they wrap it up right.

My dad was a huge x-files fan back in the day. I thought I remembered him saying the Fight the Future movie was supposed to be the first in a long series. Always wondered what ever happened to that.

They started showing it all from the start on Living over here about 3 weeks ago and I've been watching greatness all over again.

But aye, the film has been in development hell for a bit now. :(

And Fister, what does that have to do with anything?

It's has about the same amount of relation as Pepperoni > Pie.
nope.

Does FOX just like messing up good series? X-Files, Firefly...You'd think they would be begging for some good programming.

Finally, I loved X-Files but hated the downhill trend the final seasons had, so maybe this will redeem it and give it a nice full-circle feeling. Though asking that of Carter is a lot.

The early X-files seasons were pure awesome. It went downhill fast.
