Okay so I finally convinced my cousin to let me borrow his 3ds max. Now I have no clue where to get started. Are there any tutorials out there for complete noobs? Ive been looking around for a while...(but to no avail)

Using the tutorials would be a good start although for me I just fiddled around with the different tools for a good while to see how they work and how I might use them in a project.

You could poke around the Discreet website and get the GMax tutorials. They come in one of those help files (though I'm assuming the same stuff applies to 3dsMax).
