actually yeah, it probably would help earth in the short run. in the long run it may be bad, assuming that the temperature rises enough. imho even if the temperature raises 50 degrees. life will eventually adjust, and go on, granted we may or may not be part of it anymore.

ps: mars is having global warming too....(

Yes, I did.

But I didn't say it would be pleasant, only that it would be less bad than an ice age. It doesn't seem likely that we can manage to have neither. The edge is too thin, we're going to drop off one side or the other.
