You for real??

OK I'm going to come down hard on you but hang in there, there's some constructive suggestions at the end.
  1. You don't "spuce up" mspaint drawings in photoshop. You redraw them, because they are beyond the point where sprucing up would hide the fact they were made with mspaint.
  2. You DO NOT use primitives (oval, rectangle) when drawing. This is a dead giveaway you don't know how to draw. You will notice artists do not regularly draw works of art using compasses and rulers and protractors to create exact shapes. This is intentional.
  3. Furthermore, artists do not tend to use between 2 to 28 colors, refusing to blend or bleed color and upholding the maximum limit. They also don't let Microsoft tell them what those 28 colors should be.
Here is what I believe you should do (IANAArtist):
  1. Become adept with drawing on paper, if you are not already. You will notice the complete lack of a flood fill tool. Do not try to make one. It might fail and then you'll make a mess.:psyduck:
  2. If you fail at step 1, consider investing time in activities more suited to your talents.
  3. But seriously, if you do turn out to be a decent artist, once you are good with paper, it's simply a matter of transferring your work to the PC. Some artists simply prefer drawing on paper and then scanning it in. Others like to use a tablet and stylus to draw directly onto a photoshop window. Some use a regular mouse, but from what I hear it's harder, and most artists spring for a tablet when they can.
Eventually you may be able to draw stuff like this. Happy drawing. :neckbeard:

Lol. Add in a lens flare and a motion blur for extra extra realism

I agree with Mega. Some things are hard to do such as make crappy art look good...

Try the good ol' paper and pencil.

The leprechaun hat with the pimp feather really sets it off....

If texture was all you wanted to "spruce it up" it I'd say something came loose in your head...but judging by this...er...character...well, the rest is pretty self explanitory.
