At most, the cartilage is simply worn down more because of the repetitive movements, but that can be done the exact same way by walking a lot.

More than likely you just have issues with the knee, nothing related to cracking it.

I dunno. I think my doctor would know better than you. :downs:

Yeah and MY doctor says it doesn't do a damned thing.

Doctors are about 50-50 on saying whether cracking joints does anything harmful or not.

Doctors amongst themselves don't even agree about the cracking thing. I've asked several as I crack my knuckles, neck and back constantly.

it's releasing air pockets, not destroying cartilage.

They're 50/50 because no one has ever done any studies and there is absolutely no evidence.

Everytime I crouch my knees let out loud cracking noises. I guess crouching repeatedly for ~15 minutes can count as an obsessive tendency

I think the highlighting thing is weird, but tracing lines in books is almost required sometimes. It makes it much easier, for sure.

Only if you can't read... good.
Wikissassi sucks.

I only do the highlighting thing if I'm reading a really large body of text and have to turn away for a few moments. I'm pretty bad at remembering where I'm at, so I'll highlight as I go so I know where I'm reading.

I forgot one of my biggest ones until today. When editing a document in a graphical environment, I am really really neurotic about adjusting the window size such that as I scroll up or down the lines of text remain perfectly displayed, without the tops or bottoms eventually getting cut off at the upper or lower edge of the window, that drives me crazy when they do.
Also, I can kill you with my brain.
