Wow, that's unusual. It pales in comparison to the 840 MB that Acrobat Reader 8 did on me once. :v:

I've had firefox up to over a gig before. I accidentally left it on for over a day and it just ate the resources.:(

I just minimize it and it's fixed :ninja:

I've never had Firefox run over 130 MB.

Mine usually floats around 60, but I rarely check it so I can't really give a meaningful average or anything.

99% of all Firefox memory leaks are caused by extensions.

Mine's at 65, and yeah, CM is right.

Huh. I just looked and I have like 5 extensions that I don't even remember installing. Seriously, who needs anything more than adblock? (and StumbleUpon, my guilty pleasure)

Anyways, up to 314 megs now. Let's see if we can get 'er over a gig.

I use Flashblock extension. My old laptop I use sometimes can't handle the horrible resource-intensive flash ads of today.

That's the developers' excuse to continue ignoring the problem. Even without extensions, the browser still leaks a lot of memory.

There is a horrible memory leak in the build of mozilla that shipped with Etch RC1. I left it running over a weekend with 4 windows and 10 tabs open, and when I came back the box was completely hosed.
I had to kill X to fix the problem. :(
And when the moment is right, I'm gonna fly a kite.

3 tabs, 90,000k.

I don't know if this is good or bad. I don't leave firefox open, and when I close, I usually kill the process. I don't need to restore previous pages.

I think I've had it push past 1Gb before...was playing Raiden X or something, and my system started lagging..I forget the exact number, but it was pretty darn high.

6 tabs, 122MB.

I usually don't let it go much higher than this before restarting it.

444 megs!

It's noticeably slow now. Uptime: ~2 days

It'd help if you'd stop looking at porn picture threads.

I only have 1.5 gigs of memory in total, unfortunately :(

Time to up the page file size, I suppose.
