The only reason I care is that I know having Sanjaya stay on week after week was pissing the judges off. Anything that annoys the judges is good in my book.

I can't stand the show, but get forced to watch it because of my girlfriend and her family. This Sanjaya guy was absolutely horrible. Although a part of me was kind of hoping he'd win so that everyone could see the show had jumped the shark and it would get canceled.

I don't really follow those singing talent shows, but I suppose American Idol is probably funny to watch. Besides it produced Kelly Clarkson who is a popular pop singer (shes also lovely ;)). I hardly ever watch TV anyway, and well I've got better things to do

I would remind people that the winner of the first australian idol is now more obscure than the runner up of the first australian idol. So there is still a chance that that guy will pop up again in the future.
