Wow. Very funny movie. I'm not going to go as far as to say it's the funniest movie I've ever seen because that would be stupid, but honestly, it's a riot.

If you've ever thought big silly action movies were more funny than serious, this is a movie for you.

One of the best aspects of the movie is that there is nearly no swearing at all until the last 20 or 30 minutes, and then every 3 words is an f-bomb. This might not seem funny at the moment, but the way it's played on screen is amazing. It literally turns into the most cliche-ridden movie I've seen in years during the final act. It's amazing.

Go see this movie.

EDIT: OMG BEST MOVIE EVAR!! EVERYONE CAN STOP MAKING COMEDY MOVIES FOR THE REST OF ETERNITY! FOR REAL. THEY SHOULD JUST GIVE ALL THE OSCARS TO HOT FUZZ! lulz.

See, I would go that far. It's the funniest thing I've ever seen. Loved every second of it and WANT the DVD.

Oh man, Hot Fuzz is absolute classic British comedy. Bill Bailey is perfect in it! And, apparently (I didn't actually notice this), Peter Jackson has an uncredited cameo as the Father Christmas that stabs Simon Pegg in the hand.

I almost choked on my drink when Simon Pegg dropkicked the old lady in the face . Absolutely loved the movie. Especially the inclusion of Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits :D Great song.

Love that movie. It's rare that a comedy these days is actually funny the entire way through, and Hot Fuzz is.

I was sitting there near the end thinking 'how are they going to end this?', and honestly I dont think that it could have ended any better than it did.

I saw a spot for it on TV last week. It sold me. I'm going to go see it.

My favorite part was toward the end when Simon Pegg tells Nick Frost he told the giant dude "play time's over" before he hit him in the head, and Nick Frost responds "oh man you're off the f***ing chain!"

Sue me.. I don't know how to do spoiler tags. I can't ever get that crap to work.

Agreed. The trailers showed an old, crazed women getting kicked in the face. I'm sold.

I forgot that part is in the trailer. I guess I didn't need to bother putting it in spoiler tags after all. To be honest, when I'd gone to see it I'd forgotten most of the material in the trailer, so when that part happened it was a (pleasant) surprise :D

I agree, this movie was SWEET... the first hour though seemed kinda slow. I was liking it, but not on a level with shaun of the dead.... until he figured out the whole story.. from there ON was BRILLIANT... i mean, in how many other movies can you see an old man sword fighting, and another old man getting a bear trap knocked on his head. On a side note, I will forever have nightmares because if the scene when it was showing all of the old people getting their mug shots taken. That was extremely scary.

Wow, I really thought it was not a great movie. It was so unnecessarily long, the funny parts were very few and very far apart. Nothing even HAPPENED until the last 20 minutes of the movie. I would give it a 3/10.

I really hate it when people say "nothing happened" in a movie. That would be the case if the characters literally did NOTHING. But in this case, they did quite a lot of things, so saying nothing happend is kinda silly.

Thats your problem, because you know I didn't literally mean they did nothing. You understood what I meant and so did everyone else. It was just a slow movie. I guess it didn't help that I was getting phone calls from everyone to make sure I was still alive (see my gunman thread).

I agree for the most part, although I'd give it about a 6/10.

It was pretty good overall. The last 30 minutes or so were genius. The first part was slow, but kept me somewhat entertained

I thought it was way way awesome, all the way through.

Except for the last couple minutes. That seemed pretty dumb.

You answer your phone while you're watching a movie at a theater?
