I can see Mass-Assi or Mass-Ass-I (well less so the second) since there's no accent mark (clearly a disadvantage of our language). BUT WHERE IS THE W COMING FROM???

You know what guys, there is not going to be a "true way" to pronounce this word.
1) Who the hell knows about this word other than us?
2) It's all going to be determined by your dialect. I can see a New Englander or a Southerner prouncing it like B. Likewise someone Britain prouncing it like A.
