Just building a new computer, and wanted to know whether to go with this card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102067

(ATI X1950 XT)

or this card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130061

(GeForce 7950GT)

Thanks for your help.

What I have so far:
Motherboard:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131013

Memory:

CPU:

I guess that's about it.

Next-gen cards are where its at! Expect lower priced dx10 Nvidia cards to be coming out sometime in the next few months that will probably still put high end dx9 cards to shame. I'd wait...personally...if at all possible. Or just get the 8800GTX. (orrrr...get the EVGA 7950 card and ignore me, I love EVGA)

I have the 7950 GT (512 mb) and I can tell you that I'm very impressed with it. So far, I haven't found a game that doesn't run smoothly with the maximum graphics settings.

P.S. I just checked the rest of what you picked out so far, and other than the brand, you pretty much have my same system. Now all you need is a water cooler :P

P.S.S. I have a Pentium D 2.4Ghz that can be over clocked to 3.8 Ghz stably. I have been running it this way for 10 months, and have had absolutely no problems. It was an amazing find, and the deal on it was incredible. I'm sure you could find it now for even cheaper. A lot of people say "Well dual core 2.4 Ghz is a little aged now" however, when I tell them that I can over clock it faster than their processor, and run it perfectly stable, they stop talking :D The processor chip I have was literally made for over clocking purposes.
