The last one was indeed started about a week ago... I should know, I started it. Anyways, the only thing that's changed on mine is the wallpaper. I see no need to put it up again.

Seeing as Doom III is a first person shooter, and you won't really see your character, how he looks isn't that important.

I'm using something very similar to what Dor is now. Only I'm using xoblite instead of BB4Win. BB4Win seemed to hate me and not operate correctly. As in, it always left a part of itself running after I quit, it messed up the position of icons on my desktop (a big no-no for any program to me), and when it was running, it never got rid of the Windows interface.

I've been much happier with xoblite so far. I haven't made the switch yet, mainly becuase I'm still configing stuff, but it should be a very nice change.

Xoblite was much less stable and compatible in my experience. Ie trying to run games was hell, especially windowed mode ones.

I haven't bothered with desktop icons thing yet, i only had four anyways and they were all folders i can access momentarily anyways.

I've never had any problems with explorer leaving itself running after installing blackbox [blackbox.exe -install [http://forums.massassi.net/html/biggrin.gif]].

Yeah, xoblite has a couple more default bells and whistles but as people like to say 'STability' over 'ability'. And most of them can be enabled in blackbox simply enough.

I noticed the games thing earlier. It's really quite annoying. I've had Samurize do similar things in UT2k4 when I play, but it never bothers anything else. I don't suppose you'd know of a way to fix that or a possible solution? Now that I think of it, the one thing both of those apps have in common is transparency. Maybe that's the issue behind it. Meh, who knows.
