Product Testing.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried product testing with www.ProductTestPanel.com, and (more importantly) if they are a legitimate company. I'm considering signing up, but am not going to give away my personal information if they're a scam site. It looks legit, but looks can be deceiving.

If you're hesitant about trusting an internet site, you should look in your local newspapers, there's often ads in the job section for companies looking for people for testing or market studies.

But I live in some nothing town. There aren't any companies around here that are likely to engage in product testing.

I would highly doubt their creditibility. They aren't listed in the BBB database, but "Consumer Research Corporation" is a fairly generic name.

Yes, but the BBB is useless. There are scam organizations listed there. So being listed or not doesn't really mean anything.

What about yes-its-free.com? They're promomting this company, along with many others, and have forums (which I'm going to check out). That might give me some insight.

[For some reason I can't find a link on the homepage to the forums. It's here. ]

I think I've found the gimmick: sponsors. You have to subscribe or sign up to at least two of their sponsors. If you play your cards right, you can get through by paying only $1. I still want to conduct more research, though.
