Wow. The calmer you are while shooting a gun, the better accuracy you'd have.

I can't WAIT for the backlash on THAT idea.

Sounds lame.

It seems like brain-waves-reading-game-devices catch interest and then disappear into obscurity. I guess, until one proves it works.

Proves it works? You realize the USAF have entire aircraft simulations developed in which the pilots guide their aircraft with just their mind? The stuff works, it's making it cheap and seem like something more than a gimmick that's the hard part.

Indeed. I know the technology works, but as a (hopefully) inexpensive gaming device for household use was what I was commenting on.

Ah, yeah. The thing I'm worried about is it sensing frustration with game physics as panicking and decreasing your abilities in game because you're pissed off at the game's behavior.

Seems like a great way to teach kids to tune out everything around them and focus only on the screen. Parents will love it!

An entire generation of multi-taskers, gone :argh:

No no no. Let's hope this is utilized outside of the videogame community first. An operating system that uses multitasked thought-input would be possible the greatest thing ever. If this is utilized for non-gamers first, it'll have an easier time not being a "subliminal mind pacifier"

Um. Link doesn't work?

Oh, it works the second time.

I posted an article about the same technology a month or so ago.

It sounds great in theory, but how often do you want to work really really hard when you play videogames? Most people play them to relax..

Sounds silly. I'll stick with playing my games and not straining myself.

Seriously, I space out and wander so much when I play games.

Not necessarily. You get a kid to focus that hard on a single task and the rest of the world doesn't matter anymore. When I used to read all the time, it usually took a smack to the head to snap me out of it.

If that includes watching cybernetic women stripping bare butt naked in order to fully utilize their personal cloaking devices, count me in :neckbeard:

If you didn't get the joke, just see the movie and it'll become very clear ^^
