You decide.

If you truly dislike either's music you don't deserve to live.

Billy Joel any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Ouch, that's tough. I'd have to go with Elton John, but it's close.

Elton.

But for those actual tunes there, Joel would win.

Elton John. Despite his success, incredibly underrated.

Elton John is in a completely different league than Billy Joel. Both are good, but Elton is legendary.

The only thing now is that when I listen to Elton John, people think I'm gay. So I listen to it him in private. Kind of like it was forbidden or something. :suicide:

I haven't listened to much of either's music but I voted Joel just to be different.

Elton John has a lot more music I enjoy, but Billy Joel has a lot of music I can actually sing.

I'll go with Billy Joel.

Had the same problem back in High School, hell I still do in college. Bugs the living crap out of me, but essentially everyone else can screw off as far as I'm concerned.

i'm confused... elton played the piano, but wrote a song called rocketman.

Which one do i click?

I chose elton, even though he is a freakish b*tching overly gay weirdo. a talented one at that.

*sigh*

Billy Joel's first hit (and arguably best song) is called Piano Man.

But, I mean... seriously? Is it possible not to have heard of Billy Joel or Elton John if you live in, like, the world?

If you haven't heard of Elton you really deserve to lose your genitals. Seriously.

Joel, not so much.

[Edit: And to be fair my impression of Obi is like that one kid you always seem to get at a camp thats always by himself because he claims everything is retarded and refuses to take part in anything. All of their interests seem to be computers.]
nope.

My favorite Elton tracks:
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road
This Train Don't Stop There Anymore
Rocketman
Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters
Tiny Dancer

I would say that it isn't so much Elton I like (although he's a great vocalist) as I like the guy who writes his lyrics (Bernie Taupin.)

Yeah, I'm actually really curious as to whether he is serious or just kidding around. I don't understand how it's possible. How old is he?

Obi, would you mind answering these questions in order to sate my curiosity?

If I recall correctly, Obi was the one that had never heard of Frank Sinatra. :suicide:

- Listen! I think we got off on the wrong foot. Stan Goodspeed, FBI. Uh... let's talk music. Do you like the Elton John song "Rocket Man."
- I don't like soft-*** ****!
- Oh, oh, you don't, oh... well, I only bring it up because, uh, it's you. You're the rocket man!

Haven't listened to much Elton John, and only Billy Joel song I remember at the moment besides Piano Man is "We Didn't Start The Fire". Which is pretty neat.

I only really like one song by either of them, and that's "Saturday Night's Alright (for Fighting)"

Therefore I vote for Elton John.

My dad used to play with Billy Joel pre college when they were both growing up in Chicago. I've grown up not only listening to Joel, but listening to my father complain about things that "could have been" I voted Joel. Elton John is fantastic, and the concert where the two of them were together was AMAZING but it's still Billy Joel all the way for me. :awesome:
