It's probably the case of a lot of americans trying to eat oriental food using chopsticks (God only know why), but using them very incorrectly, thus, increasing their chances of getting athritis.

I don't get the point of chopsticks? They use shovels and pitchforks, they never thought of shrinking them for that? I don't see'em trying to use giant chop sticks on the crop? o_O

Hmmmm if this is the case, why didn't the researchers in China, Japan, etc. find out about this before us? Nearly everyone in those countries use chopsticks. I also been using them since I was 8, I feel no pain whatsoever.

LOL! I've never heard it put that way before, but it makes a lot of sense.

i read another article on this a while back and apprarently even studies in Japan of people who have used them all their life and used them correctly get arthiritis...
so it doesn't come from improper use

kind of amusing... but a fork and knife hurt my hands no matter what way i hold them (i have huge hands, though and chopsticks don't... so i'll keep using them (=
