OJP (open jedi project) is looking for skilled mappers to help with a large scale mod, timeline between episode 3 and 4.

I'd just like to point out that this mod is in fact quite real and has a lot done. I was actually one of the founding members, but shortly thereafter I decided JO/JA wasn't worth my time anymore.

I was reading a wiki on OJP awhile ago and thought to myself "Emon? Massassi's Emon?"

I don't think there are too many active JO/JA mappers left here at Massassi besides...me?

Technically, you could.

I also have Radiant installed, just to ET, though. WHo knows, I might get something done for J* sometime.

I'm aware that you could. But why bother if you have GTKradiant. You cut a lawn with clippers but why not just use the lawnmower?

so nobody here maps jedi knight academy anymore?

that sucks!!! now i'm wishing they would make the mod in the half life 2 engine.


and of course you can make maps with 3ds max... you can do whatever the heck you want with 3ds max...

The saber fighting in the video on the website looks crappy. The sabers just sort of dart around randomly.

Okay then. But I still don't see the advantage of doing mapping with 3d max over just picking up a download of GTKradiant.

there isn't one. I just never learned radiant. I haven't tryed level editing sense JED, and even then I only released one level, never was good at level editing... but i'm not to bad at models. i'll leave the maps up to more talented guys like yourself.... thus the reason I posted on massassi.... this website had some of the most talented mappers i've seen.
