A neighborhood cat gave birth in our shed. My mother felt sorry for them, and brought them into the house. We have SIX KITTIES.

"You" is a personal, direct pronoun.

YOU should have said (see I used "you" properly right there)

"This is why people should have their pets neutered, dammit."

or, more accurately

"This is why Steven should be allowed to kill stray cats with his .22 CB rounds without having to be concerned about spending 5-7 for 'cruelty to animals'."

Actually, you is also a plural pronoun, as in "you all" or "you guys."

I'll gladly mail anyone a cat. However, they weigh 1.5 lbs, which is $17 to ship. If I ship two .75lb boxes, it's only $12, so that's how I'll send them.

Yes, there were seven, but nature decided that was too many and fixed the problem.

Amy refuses to go into the box :(

And why are kittens so damned cute? They have an almost visceral reaction of "AWWW HOW ADORABLE". Hell, it's a great survival trait for cats (because who would leave kittens to die?). Wonder why we feel that way though.

Because babies make 1.) Less adorable noises, 2.) greater quantities of vomit and other bodily exudates, and 3.) Middle ages women go 'aww' while kittens make everyone go 'aww'
