Holy ****.

EDIT: Oh yeah... major violence warning. And I mean major.

Looks pretty cool. After Stallone pulled off Rocky Balboa (the movie, not the character), anything is possible as far as distant sequels go.

It's just too bad Richard Crenna (played Col. Sam Trautman in all the previous Rambo films) is dead. Won't be the same without him.

[ninjaedit]Holy ****ing violence, Batman. I had only watched the first half of the trailer at the time that I first replied.

My favorite part is when he took the mounted gun on the jeep and blew off his head.

Is that the same trailer as this one?

In either case, I like the revival of macho action movies like these. These kind of movies are a nice break once in awhile. 300 proves that they can still be successful in these times. Maybe it's time for Chuck Norris to be in a new movie? Maybe he can fight Jason Stratham and Jet Li?

Looks like it could be a pretty good action flick.

Yeah, that's the one. Also, I really agree that it's nice to see macho action movies coming back. For the longest time we got a lot of pretty boy's doing stylish stuff with cars and guns. What ever happened to finding a guy that's all goosed up on steroids and giving him a machine gun or a bigass sword?

I want our generation's Conan, First Blood, Predator, etc. Arnold needs to get out of politics and give us a few more like Sly.

Looks B.A.

Hell yes!

Something about it seemed to lack that Rambo feel though.
nope.

Don't worry. All of his lines were in the trailer. It'll have the Rambo feel when those seven words are stretched out for two hours. :P

I wonder how they pull off some of those effects. . .like the guy getting blown into bite sized bits of clam chowder by the mounted gun. :awesome:
My blawgh.

Stallone knows some serious old schoolers like Tom Savini. Those guys can do stuff with latex and explosives that ILM can't do with computers as far as killin' things.

I agree that it's nice to see when studios aren't afraid to put out R rated movies. For a long time it seemed that almost all movies were being watered down to achieve a PG-13 rating, so that more people would be able to see it (and thus more potential for $). A perfect example of this was AvP.

Recent movies like A History of Violence, Lucky Number Slevin, The Shooter (not a fantastic movie, but at least they weren't afraid of gore), etc. give me hope.

No. Where AVP went wrong was when the producers hired Paul W. S. Anderson to direct.

Looks good. It has been a long while since I saw Rambo movies, but based on the trailer I believe this will serve the legacy well.

Awesome. For those looking for "modern" mindless action flicks, how about Punisher!?

Despite those bad critic reviews, I like that movie a lot. One problem though.....Thomas Jane came into conflict with the producers of Punisher 2 and now he won't be back for the sequel.

But to stay on topic, kind of amazing how Stallone can still produce this movie and Rocky despite his age huh? I wonder if Arnold can produce similar results if he wasn't governor right now.
