It looks like a desktop variant of a laptop keyboard; which is to say it looks uncomfortable.

All those extra buttons... I guess pointing and clicking was too much work.

Well... considering the link posted does not explain what's so special about the keyboard, and assumes the reader actually knows, I don't think he's unjust in not knowing.

Tiberium_Empire, the special thing about the keyboard is you can put anything on the keys. They've got little screens under them. So you can put any character or icon on the key as you desire.

They said it would be the "cost of an expensive phone," which implies a few hundred dollars, but $1,500! Yikes!

There are three main problems with this keyboard. One, the price. Two, the OLED displays are half the size of the keys, which is unlike the concept. This may be a technical limitation, but at $1,500 I expect key-sized displays. Three, the name "Optimus Maximus Keyboard" is seriously

Well, maybe good news for some rich uber-geeks, but IMO this is not worth spending 1.5 thousand dollars on. If I want to have Cyrlics on my keyboard I can get stickers for $1.5 instead.

It's still ridiculously cool looking.

I'd love to have it, I think it'd be really useful.

But not for $1500.
