At my parent's house, I only see our own. At the apartment I am in the process of moving into, I can see 2 or 3 Linksys routers. It will become four when I add a wireless AP to my FreeBSD router/server.

At the Uni halls:

iNet: security enabled (WPA), two bars
Brame House: security enabled (WEP), 0 bars
linksys: unsecured, two bars
hpsetupi: unsecured, 0 bars

I remember going out onto the lawn a few weeks ago and picking up about three more, though. Including the University of Liverpool RoamNet, although that was a pretty weak signal.

The neighbors used to have a connection that I'd use my palm to pick up. Now they switched to a line.

Last time when I had an ad-hoc connection a few months ago, I picked up 3 other signals from my neighbors, only one secure (my next door neighbor). I picked up my old cell phone with it as well, still haven't figured that one out.

Mine (Homeboys) because my dad and I share the network, and then there are three others: HCBNET -secured, I62Q0 -secured, and Butters -not secured. I am really curious as to which of my neighbors is using the last one.

Urgh, don't call WEP secure. It's a matter of minutes to crack it. Use WPA.

I get two, but both belong to my family. We use two APs to cover the entire house.
