Your favorite font for documents?

Post which font you like to use the most on the things you type.

I've really taken a liking to Bitstream Vera Sans for document headings and Bitstream Vera Serif for the main body text.

I like it because it is more readable than Times New Roman on account of being slightly wider.

I know I'll get a lot of disgusted looks, but I rather like Courier New and similar fonts that one would find on a typerwriter or old-school text-adventure game or the like. However, since I know most everyone finds it super-ugly, I usually stick with plain Arial or Times New Roman or the like.

On AIM, though, I use Veranda, in dark blue. I'm a fan of blues, browns, and monochromes (white/grey/black), in large part because of the preferred aesthetic I described above.

I've gotten used to Calibri being the default font in Office 2007.

I use Calibri in word for class papers.

For my resume or other things I typically use Georgia

Calibri. The new fonts in Vista and Office 2007 are amazing.

I did that in one of my signatures. Didn't realize until someone pointed out that not everyone is fortunate enough to have such a nice font :)

Times New Roman is pretty much required for papers, but Maiandra GD is appealing for Windows fonts etc.

Verdana for web, Georgia for print, whatever default for regular documents.

Times New Roman or Arial for documents (I prefer the look of Arial and it's larger, but some people specify Times), DejaVu for programs.

Times New Roman for Research Papers
Courier New when I feel awesome.
Century Gothic to make my paper look sharp.
Book Antiqua whenever I'm bored.

I tend to change the font after I am finished with writing my whole paper.
I seem to get distracted with all the fonts before I even finish.

I'd like to wipe Times New Roman from history please.

Lecture notes written in TNR give me headache!

(If I need a serif font I use Garamond)

whatever the defaults are.

after 25 years of PC typography, fonts still aren't embedded in documents so chances are if you use a fancy font your readers will be viewing the default font anyway.
