Looking for some input on a system I am currently building.

So far, I've already purchased:

22" Acer moniter 5ms, (these are on amazing promotion right now at bestbuy/futureshop etc)
eVGA geForce 8800 GTS 640mb (also on promotion right now, big savings)

I'm looking for some input on the rest of the system. This is my current plan; please critique.

Processor
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 Socket LGA775, 1.86 GHz 199.99

Motherboard
Asus P5B Socket 775 Intel 965 Express + ICH8 Chipset 141.99

Memory
Corsair DDR2 PC2-5300 667MHz Value Select 2GB KIT (2X1024MB) 83.99

Case
Antec Sonata II Piano Black Quiet Mid Tower ATX Black 450 Watt 112.95

Hard Drive
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB SATA
96.99

Heatsink/fan
???? 50$ budgeted for one, dunno what to buy

Crappy optical drive 30$

note: prices are in canadian dollars, and there is a further 2% discount because I will be paying CASHMONEY.

I could use some advice WRT case/power supply. That case seems to be the best available from the store I am going to. I am not sure if a 450 watt power supply is enough for this system.

I would spend a little more on this DVD burner. It has LightScribe and is SATA. :awesome:

The case and power supply are good choices.

Also, for LCDs, I'm not sure who makes the panels for Acers but if you care about image and color quality, you'll probably want to look at Samsung or NEC. Especially Samsung for consumer level.

Even though nVidia suggests a 450 watt PSU for the 8800 GTS, I've heard of some people having problems with it but I've also heard of people running it fine with a 420 watt PSU, so you most likely won't know until after you get it.
Your case should be pretty good for cooling the card too, the 8800 can run very hot during gaming.

Also, what OS are you planning on?
