Memorial Day

What is everyone doing for memorial day?

I'm going to some graves, watching war movies, and watching Star Wars later, probably. I guess there is something awesome going to be on the History Channel? Also there may be a hot date in the works. :ninja: vibes!

But I'd like to step up onto my soapbox for a minute. Way too many of my friends have given their lives in this war. If you get a chance today, please think about what people have given recently and throughout history. Please do not turn this into anything political. Memorial day has nothing to do with the validity of the current conflict or past conflicts. The sacrifice of kids throughout history is something that should not be forgotten, especially when they gave their lives in wars which are debatably just.

Have fun, everybody.

Memorial Day. The day when our military is honored by even the most liberal of media.

Also, doonsbury sucks.

My old dorm had a luau party this afternoon, which I crashed. Other than that, just been sitting around. It's nice to be on campus when you're already done for the year.
If you think the waiters are rude, you should see the manager.

I pissed around because it was a bank holiday. Like I was going to do anything if it wasn't.
Hey, Blue? I'm loving the things you do. From the very first time, the fight you fight for will always be mine.

Why would they be on the same day?

That's like asking, "Hey! Why doesn't France celebrate it's independence on July Fourth???"
Wikissassi sucks.

I spent the entire day helping my sister move, but I promised a few guys in the 321st I'd drink for them. I'm making my rounds here real quick before I start on that.

I spent the day hiding from people pestering me to go to barbecues and to generally not be a recluse.

Stayed at home, finished Super Paper Mario, watched some Band of Brothers, opened up a bottle of Riesling, which was quite tasty.

O’DONNELL: 655,000 Iraqis — I’m saying you have to look, we invaded –

HASSELBECK: Wait, who are you calling terrorists now? Americans?

O’DONNELL: I’m saying if you were in Iraq, and the other country, the United States, the richest in the world, invaded your country and killed 655,000 of your citizens, what would you call us?
