There's this kid and this big beefy general dude blowing into a tube, and a hand grenade is being blown in between them, and the ad says 'beat the general and win a <blank>'.... :downswords:
DO NOT WANT.

Anything that involves a minor and blowing into a tube should be avoided at all costs.

Advertisements are also unsolicited, often of a commercial nature, and plagued indiscriminately upon us all.

I would, were it possible! I do essentially just that by buying DVDs I want to watch anyway.

That's the thing. I will buy your product because it does something I need it to do and it's reliable and durable. I will do my own research based on FACTS and not based on 'cute' or 'funny' or 'stylish' advertisements—most of which have literally nothing to do with the product..good god.

This wasn't an internet ad, but on my way home from my girlfriend's every day I kept just catching a glimpse of this billboard. It was a beer ad, but I could never read the whole thing. I could have sworn it said "Goes down faster than a homesick soldier". This was a serious WTF moment.

It turns out it said "Goes down easier than a homesick gopher".

That's an old definition of spam. Spam is used to describe a lot more things then that nowadays

I can't remember if it was an onion-ish joke or a real article, but I remember hearing an idea to cover the night sky in advertisements via projections and such. Regardless of it being a true article or not, I could see that happening eventually.

What's your point? Not everyone is like you; people react differently to certain ads.

What is "wrong" with the ad I have attached? Yes I understand all advertisements are trying to sell you something, but that doesnt mean they're out to destroy you.
