Anyone watch the show on Adult Swim? It's pretty amusing in my opinion if you're into raunchy humor. The translators did a good job of localizing the show so that the jokes can be understood by us. If you haven't seen a show, below are two clips. What's more incredible is that Adult Swim has actually shown the main character, Shin, who's like 8 years-old, naked (penis included). I guess they can get away due to the weird art style.

I'm a fan. I've heard that the original dialogue was not so adult.

Contrary to popular belief, this is not a selling point when trying to explain how entertaining a show is.

That was lame. That kind of humor gets old after 3rd grade.

I've been talking to the voice actress for Georgie (Funimation) who also does the ending song. She's pretty cool.

When I watched Ranma ½ from RTL2 (German channel), they always showed Shin Chan before it and I was like "hey this is kind of cool" yet never really started watching it... I honestly never expected to hear of it ever again.

You sure? Judging by how some of the scenes it doesn't seem like it.

I concur. The animation greatly supports the current dialogue.

I find Shin Chan to be oddly amusing.

Also, during my mission trip to Ecuador a few weeks ago, I saw this on a wall in some Quito slums. It surprised me that Shin Chan was so well known.
