supposedly it's quite good... i'm using it right now... just ran norton after dong a LiveUpdate, so we'll see the results...

Not everyone uses Linux, for multiple reasons. We bite the bullet and use Windows. Housecall is an EXCELLENT scanner, better than norton. The only other scanner I would reccommend/pay for is PC-Cillin.

I use Avast! Antivirus. It's free for 30 days, then you have to register. Ironically, the registration is free. It uploads a new virus database about a dozen times a month, so it's always up-to-date.

Natively for Windows, it has recently become available for Linux.

Really, what is the point of scanning your system with a program that could also be infected?
I've seen many systems where this was the case.
