I saw this awhile ago when browsing New York Time's website. Had to find the link again.

Not surprising really but interesting. I wonder if there are more things like this online.

Heh, interesting... A surprisingly high number of them actually look quite shockingly like the actual person behind the avatar, and of course, a few "predictable" ones. :p

Of course, I don't know how representative this slideshow is of the actual population...

the two i posted are an accurate portrayal of 90% of online mmos.

the other folk are representative of 1%.

the rest are gold farmers.

It's probably that roll-over at 255 effect, (judging by the poor graphical quality of the avatar) so it'd come up to a real amount of 310 hours a week.
