OK, so when I start up Firefox, I am greeted with an unfamiliar pattern of yellow and green, and also firefox runs extremely slow. Has anyone else ever had this problem?

Oh by the way this is on my parents computer, not on mine. And fortunately I've set Firefox to delete all my personal information on closing, so it limits the threat of phishing. I'm downloading Ad-Aware right now...

I found out that some website name "m2.2mdn.net" loads very quickly before each page, and a quick google of it leads me to believe that it is some sort of spamware...

Check you're hosts file.

Open driveletter:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc/hosts in notepad and see if anything is funky. Spyware aims at it sometimes.

Also check proxy settings.

Or hell, just bomb the entire Firefox install and profile, and reinstall.

2mdn.net is a DoubleClick ad server.

You seem to have quite a few firefox extensions installed. Mind posting a list? One or more of your plugins might be causing the problem.
