quick! I'm eyeing the 500 gig hard drives on NewEgg, but don't know if there's one brand better than another right now, or if I should take anything into consideration other than price, rating, and number of reviews (which probably isn't always the best indication of what'll be good anyway).

But yeah, 500 gig, and it has to be IDE.
