Tech question: New hard drive
2007-06-29, 6:02 PM #1
So I've been using the same 40 gig hard drive that I've had in my computer ever since I built it, so I figure its time to get a new one that actually has some space on it. I would like to take everything off of this old hard drive and put it on the new one and use that as my primary drive. I don't currently have a copy of Windows XP to install onto the new hard drive either. While I'm sure I could find one from someone eventually, I'd rather not have to do that if it can be avoided. So my question is, how easy is it to take the stuff from my old hard drive, put it on the new one, and just use that as my primary drive (the old one I would probably just format and use as an extra drive)?
Life is beautiful.
