Saw this on Penny Arcade... it's an insane read, pretty long, but well worth it...

The sort of ridiculous quotes and allegations and ideas that the people involved have are mind-boggling, as is the situation itself.

Well as far as Linux goes, it doesn't matter since Reiser4 sucks anyway.

Heh, I read it after I saw it on PA as well. That guy is in it deep, as there is a preponderance of evidence. The blood, the missing seat, the erratic behavior, the crystal clear motive. His only lifeline is that sick ******* of a friend he had, but otherwise it seems like an open/shut case.

Yeah, that's some ****ed up ****. I read the whole thing in confused horror.

He's a Linux programmer so that's irrelevant.

It is sad, but don't worry, guilty or not ReiserFS is a thing of the past.

The future is now.

It's not just ZFS. Ext3, Ext4, JFS and NTFS are all way, way better than Reiser4.

It was cheesy. It was written like a strange noir memoir cheese-oir sob journalism story.

But I was reeled in..

not to mention that reiser4 is never, ever going to make it into the main branch. The code is too messy and it reimplements a lot of functionality that already exists inside the kernel.
