Christian spam?

I have been getting really weird random emails lately, that don't seem very much like spam, aside from the fact that I don't know these people at all.

Hi Michael,

I have been praying for your ministry,How did the concerts go in Barstow?

Im your sister in the Lord, yes the one with the German shepard that comes to your coffee shop with Kathryn the "rock star" . I've been to the Philippines and told you all about that ministry and pray that one day you can join us. Do remember me? To find out more about our trip, talk to Reggie at the postoffice. He is the guy.

There is a wonderful brother in the Lord that really wants to come to the US and serve God here. He has a passport, and needs to get a job here using a religious visa. He could stay at our house, until the God finds him a nest somewhere else. He plays the guitar and can sing HIS praises. He sang in the crusades in Cebu that we were apart of in March. His name is July, kind of like a son to me. Do you need another musican to fill in one of your bands for HIS Glory. He would be a great brother to know. Just let me know what you feel. Thanks.

In His hands, I pray His will be done.

The question is how do I respond?

Just reply and say she's got the wrong person, and apologize. Kind of a non-story, you ask me.

I'm pretty sure that would put you in jail in short order.

Also, this is clearly a person with the wrong address.

You could get the IP address of the sender from the e-mail and run it through a locator. It could give the city/province/whatever of where it's sent from and find the area code that way. It's a slim chance, but it could help.

... or you can respond and say you play in the name of the devil and not for "Him"

This is exactly like the Zimbabwean prince ones, except they want a Christian to fall for it.

I don't think so. The e-mail implies she knows the person she's sending it to.

Call the number and do an Arnold sound board!

It's a trap!
If you think the waiters are rude, you should see the manager.

And that that person already is a Christian and has an active ministry. She also asks him about a specific event and a specific place.

Or it harvested the information from a social networking site of some kind.

Most likely the result of a typo or maybe a misheard email address. It seems much different from the scam emails saying things like "HELLO I AM FROM NIGERIA AND LOOKING TO MOVE MONEY THROUGH YOUR BANK ACCOUNT."

I dunno, it all just seems really fake.
