I remember that mod was by far one of the most fantastical things for JK I had ever seen when it was being showcased. I wanted that to be released so bad. What ever happened to that project?

Well, there were various versions, all failed.

Frankly:

Technical issues, limitations, help that gave up on me, burned myself out, hard drive crashes, and I like skipping from one project to the next and not completeing things. I am sadly very bad at that stuff. Slowly, as the years go by, getting better at that, but I'll still do it sometimes.

Not to rub it in your face or anything, but the looming release of Jedi Showdown was pretty much the only thing that kept me in check and made me glad to be alive. You can imagine the downward spiral that followed finding out it was never to be.
Looks like we're not going down after all, so nevermind.
