Trust me I don't have many good pc games, but the gamess I can list off the top of my head are JO, JA, Rome: Total War, HL2 + other steam crap, UT2K4, Max Payne 2, Call Of Juarez and Republic Commando.

That makes no sense--more content on PS2 than on GC.

God of War 1 or 2. It's 20 bucks (in America) and is ****ing epic. You could buy both for ~60-70 pounds I'm sure.

If they are $20 in America, they won't be £30 in the UK. The pound is worth more than the dollar.

Only God of War 1 is $20. God of War 2 is $50.

Resident Evil 4 is on both PS2 and PC.
(although I'd recommend the PS2 version, as the PC version sucks texture-wise and keyboard/control wise)

Have you played the PC version?

The gameplay is fine (minus the controls), and it's still fun, but it does not look semi next-gen like the GC version was. and I have a NVidia 8800GTX.

It might be the lighting then.

Granted, the textures are better on the PC, but... the atmosphere just looks better on the console versions. Even if they're blurry.

Company of Heroes is AMAZING, even if you aren't really into RTS games.

Call of Duty 2 is absolutely amazing, and looks beautiful.

Those are my two most played/loved games.

FEAR MP is free and CTF can be quite fun if you're playing with the right people. I find DM rather boring though.

Burnout is always a good series to count on when you're bored.

Also, Final Fantasy 12 is really damn good.

I thought the Wii version of RE4 was going to have all the extras of the PS2 version?

It does.

And it has all of the GC content.



The Wii version has the best graphics out of the four versions. The PC version has lighting and shader issues in more than a few spots.

Overlord is heaps of fun.
STALKER is a love it or hate it game.. I love it.
Titan Quest is an enjoyable Diablo rip off.

Don't know how I forgot this one, particularly since I spent two and a half weeks playing it over the Easter holiday. I wasn't even that excited about it, but after about an hour into it I was hooked.

Ugh, FFXII. I wish my copy hadn't got stoeln, so I could restart after running out of money again.

Seriously. The license grid is like FFT's job system, which I like. Except in FFT you didn't have to buy every spell or technique you wanted to use.

And it also just felt like a single player MMO. LOL AUTOATTACK, GREAT IDEA.

Why would you need to restart? Just go out and chain some enemies and sell the loot. I suppose the similarities between FF12 and an MMO are pretty strong, but I don't get the complaint about the combat system. Attack automatically with the option to intervene when necessary to cast a spell (or whatever), or tap the "OK" button every time your turn rolled around? At least there was no jarring battle transition.

I guess that just happens when you get as big a fanbase as the FF series has. Everyone thinks the entire series should be like their particular favourite :P
