Thanks Yoshi! Definitely Not Spe, you're really not missing out on anything if it was YSJ (apart from obviously Sunday dinner!)

High Schools in America get 2 1/2 or so months off over the summer, so I don't know what fish is complaining about :P
Fincham: Where are you going?
Me: I have no idea
Fincham: I meant where are you sitting. This wasn't an existential question.

Well, I was more complaining about European workers that get 6-8 weeks off paid vacation, when it's difficult to find 2-4 weeks off here.

Yeah that's normal fish - the reason I get 6 weeks for summer is because I'm a teacher and I am off work all summer when school is closed. But I bust a gut when I actually am at work so it's fair do's!

I have indeed kissed goodbye to my soul...

I often tone it down such that my meaning isn't lost on you all... us northern folk talk funny. For instance:

See all, hear all, say nowt.
Eat all, sup all, pay nowt.
And if ever tha' does owt for nowt,
All-us do it for thi'sen.

'Scuse the rough phonetic typing :eng101:

That's what I'm saying. Lots of britisassians seem to tone down the slang alot so us idiot americans can digest it. I like how she doesn't. Because she doesn't seem like a halfbreed like the rest!

I get 120 hours of vacation time and 48 hours of floating holiday time every year at my job. The only difference between the two is that vacation time rolls over to the next year. My sick time is theoretically unlimited, so it isn't too bad.

They don't usually get that much, it's because she's a teacher and the school is closed for the summer.
nope.

Afternoon all - school's out for the summer! I'm not as excited as I should be though as as I'm leaving my current school to start at another one in September - I'm missing my old place though!

A particular hello to those who have so kindly greeted me - if you think you are petulant kids, trust me you don't seem like it. You seem to actually own communication skills.

So yes, when I say I'll miss work I mean the staff, not the kids!
