Star Wars: The New Era

Star Wars: The New Era is a mod in progress for Half-Life 2 that I ran across the other day. I don't think has been posted here yet. At this point the mod seems to be in its infancy, but it might worth keeping an eye on.

Feel free to post any other HL2 mods you're fond of.

Don't get excited, when someone from LEC sees it it will get axed.

And then we'll blame YOU for linking it!

Hmm I hate site background music, but that's not too bad *tries to rip*.

[Edit: [mp3]http://tne.invision-games.com/NewThemeMusic.mp3[/mp3] Got it.]

Yeah, at least they put the audio controls right up at the very top. The music isn't too bad.

According to the people on the site, LEC already knows about it:

As some of you might know, our Co-Leader Lindsey is living pretty close to the headquartiers of Lucasarts and recently had the chance to visit their studios as a part of his game design studies.

Apart from getting some insight on their pretty fabulous work on The Force Unleashed, he also got some of the people very interested in the concept of TNE with the Source Engine as a basis. As it seems, Lucasarts is willing to partly come back where they had their greatest success: To create a game for PC which is once again an extraordinary title such as Jedi Academy and attracts many modders. The concept of the highly extensible Source Engine and automatic updates via Steam already caught their attention. With Invision Games trying to put up a game that fits just in that market segment, Lucasarts has uttered interest in a collaboration with Invision Games.

It's no doubt too early in the mod's life to get excited about it.

Oho, I'd quite like too see what saber combat in Source would be like.

LucasArts has "uttered interest? " *tries not to make a cow/investment/Gateway computer pun*

You do realize that news post was on April 1, right? It was April Fool's joke.
