WTF

That's so awesome.

Who saw the movie Blank Check? That was my number one fantasy as a kid.

(I lied, catherine zeta jones in Princess Leia's metal bikini was my number one fantasy)

the kid overpaid for a ps2, and reported the money? two stupid moves in one fell swoop.

I'm fairly sure it was his parents that reported it.
nope.

Meanwhile, in a damp basement somewhere under Naples.

"Wait, a PS2. What kind of trick are you trying to pull?"

"I've got the money, I swear! I just don't know what happened to it!"

It would be totally awesome if that PS2 auction was a secret way to smuggle money between two parties, and that damn kid popped in at the last minute and placed the winning bid.

I wouldn't have said one ****ing thing.

You also would have eventually been arrested. Or killed. I doubt that the person sending it would have just let it go at that.

Also 200$ for a PS2? The kid's a moron!

90 grand is more than enough to invest half and quietly slip away with the rest.

Then again, unlike you, I probably knows the right people.

So you'd slip away from your current life for 90K$? You can't even buy a decent house for 90K. That's not exactly "yippee, early retirement time."

That doesn't really make sense. Wouldn't you just, you know, send him a PS2?

Bob "****, this kid popped in at the last second. Guess we'll have to send him the money."
Sarah "Yeah, that's a bummer. Don't you hate e-bay policies?"

This reminds me of an RPG for the SNES called 7th Saga. Very late in the game, one of the main characters, Valsu, gains a spell called Elixir which restores all hit points and mana — including the spell's mana cost.

Yeah, but only because if you invested half you could buy a car, slip away to somewhere else and be broke there, until you gained a miniscule amount of interest and then could fix your broken down car and die a heroin addict.

I'm looking at you spe.

90k is hardly any money these days. My sister inherited 90k from one of my dead aunts when she turned 18 and she blew all that money within 2 years time. Her first purchase was for a SUV for 30k and she spent the rest of it on paying her rent for her apartment plus living expenses for herself and her loser boyfriend (which she later dumped because they guy was sponging off her). Although, using my sister is probably not the best example of how to spend 90k since she spends money like water.

Wow. Speak for yourself, $90000 would pay for my college tuition, any post-grad I may do and my retirement.

Yeah, 90,000 dollars isn't even close to "hardly money." It's 90,000 moneys. People just don't know how to manage money, is all. You can't TREAT 90,000 like 900.

Yeah, what a bunch of morons. $90,000 would totally finance two years of lower middle class lifestyle.

Yeah, if you spend it wisely. Please read the last sentence of my last post. I'm not saying that 90k isn't worth something but its not as worthy compared to the money you would need to really feel like "you've got it made".

Who said anything about buying a house?

Maybe your mommy never showed you one of those things the poor godless people live in, they're called apartments.
