yep indeedy, I'm safe in London but my parents home has come within inches of being flooded out and my home village had all routes into and out of it cut off for about 3 days.

There seems to be a lot more bad flooding recently, or maybe I'm just remembering more...

It was sunny here and completely dry today. :D

As a testament to why my country is superior, I don't think I've ever heard of Scotland being flooded on this scale before. :P
nope.

I think England is probably sinking due to the weight of American tourists. You must have realized that we'd get you back for the war of 1812 sooner or later.

I'm so happy that both my houses [ie where I'm living now, and where I'm going to be in term-time] are towards the tops of hills- but the outlook is potentially bleak for parts of my university!

I've never known my town (or anywhere near by) to get flooded. I think I'm safe.

Oh and Baconfish I had no rain either today :P

Sorry guys :(

Apparently it's pretty bad in Oxford. I haven't gone down to the University Parks where it's supposed to be flooded but St Anne's is fine it seems for now

York's fine but I'm meant to be going on my summer holidays to Padstow in Cornwall. While I imagine Padstow's alright I suspect the drive will be a mare...

Seriously, this man is a step ahead of everybody. It's a shame nobody on this forum appreciates witty remarks anymore.

Baconfish: :D After seeing the typical American tourist, thanks! My friend and I went to the place where it was flooding. Then we jumped up and down on the not flooded part. Didn't do anything, but I remain hopeful!

Little do you know, but thanks to that each day is now about 3 minutes longer than before. :P

Yeah most American tourists here and fatties that hold up the line in Subway complaining that we don't have something called Ranch Dressing.:argh:

or say the word "like" every other word or speak obnoxiously loud?

Check that out, another country isn't exactly like ours!

I've started to sound dangerously like a self hating American lately - I like us, just not the ones that travel apparently.
