So there is this file I want, but it's linked to through a flash file. When I click on it, the browser just opens a quicktime player within it and plays the file, but I want to actually download the file. Are there any sites out there that just temporarily create a link for me to use the "save target as" option?

In any case, I'm just going to use massassi for this need atm.

Uh, when the quicktime player is open inside Firefox, you can go to File, Save Page As, and it will download the file quicktime is playing for you.

Alternatively, you can go Tools -> Page Info -> Media, select the file from the list and select save as. It's a more versatile solution for stuff that's a bit harder to get.

I never understood why people would ask for informative threads to be removed when they contain information that others might find useful. This is what the internet is for. Well, one of the things it's for, anyway.

Also, if you just opened the mp3 file and it plays in Firefox, just press <ctrl>+S or File > Save Page As
