greedo shot first, the metal slave bikini is fugly and natalie portman looks like a trussed up ugly whore.

also the PT is better than the OT.

So Lucas is wearing a han solo shirt... he probobly has assloads of them he gets for free everyweek. I dont really see why this is news, its not even a clever shirt.

Now if you show me Lucas in a Star Trak tee, and that'll be something new. :colbert:

Is there a conspiracy going on here... I just watched a few clips of this scene on youtube and in every one Greedo doesn't even get a shot off, when I clearly remember him shooting the wall and Han moving his head out of the way to shoot him second... oh god, it hurts :psyduck:

I think in the special edition they added in a bolt from Greedo's gun missing Han. It looked really stupid.

No no no.. If you guys read Star Wars tales in the comic "Emperor's Court," Palpatine clearly ruled that it was a bad remake and Han Solo is guilty of shooting Greedo first.

I'd like to propose that not only didn't han shoot first, he didn't shoot at all, with his blaster that is, and it was a bolt of pure virulent manliness blasting forth (from beneath the table, no less :ninja: )to strike down Greedo.

In the original cut, ONLY Han shot I believe. (If you look at the black and white copy aka the negative i believe)

Ok, after a long string of people telling me i had no idea what i was talking about, i decided to look this up and see what the hell was really going on.

And your right, this went completely over my head, but for the record, all the remakes suck anyway.

Special edition, yes.

basically thats what i meant.

Im actually not to familiar with them to be honest. After the first time i saw the three of them, i have never watched them again, they are an affront to the SW trilogy, and i was pretty pissed at some of the scenes that they slaugtered.

The Holiday Special was the first appearance of Boba Fett, and is therefor awesome.

I don't know why everyone hates the SEs so much. If they didn't make Greedo shoot first, I think people would like them even.

Greedo isn't the only change they made, and that's the problem, they made changes. Not just aesthetic changes like a prettier graphic under the hover bike, but actual changes.
You can't judge a book by it's file size

The only changes I really had a problem with were:
-Greedo shooting first
-Luke screaming when he falls in Cloud City
-Vader's line in ESB changing from "Bring my shuttle" to "Alert my Star Destroyer to prepare for my arrival,"
-The ridiculously CG-looking Sarlacc
-When Han shoots the Sarlacc tentacle he says "It's all right, I can see a lot better now" rather than "It's all right, trust me".


I haven't seen the 2004 DVD release of the trilogy, so I don't know what changed there.

They replaced the "Yub Yub" song.

And they replaced the actor who played the blue-glowey darth vader in that scene with Hayden.

It pisses me off so much.

I liked the new ending song much better than the yub yub stupidity. The yub yub thing was alot more childish.
