News from ScoreHero:

4 New Songs were announced today.

- Suck My Kiss - Red Hot Chili Peppers (Master Track!)
- La Grange - ZZ Top
- Number Of The Beast - Iron Maiden (Master Track!!)
- Through The Fire And Flames - Dragonforce (Master Track!!!)

(which is in addition to the already-announced songs:)

Alice Cooper - School's Out
Beastie Boys - Sabotage (Master)
Foghat - Slowride
Guns N' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle (Master)
Heart - Barracuda
Kiss - Rock N Roll All Nite
Living Colour - Cult of Personality (Master)
Muse - Knights of Cydonia (Master)
Pearl Jam - Evenflow (Master)
Priestess - Lay Down (Master)
Rolling Stones - Paint it Black (Master)
Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock (Master)
Tenacious D - The Metal (Master)
The Scorpions - Rock You Like a Hurricane
Weezer - My Name is Jonas (Master)

It should also be noted that over 50% of the main-tier songs are master tracks, and over 70% including the bonus tracks!

"Through the Fire And Flames" is REALLY hard. Numerous people will tell you that they failed it at 1-3%.

P.S. Liquid Explosion. Ungh.

This is going to be the best Guitar Hero yet. I'd buy it with just the songs announced so far.

You like DragonForce? Time to trash my DragonForce CD.

I think Guitar Hero is kind of lame, like DDR, but it would be fun to get your *** kicked by a DragonForce song.

I used to like Dragonforce...I've sorta grown away from it though. Now, the Maiden song? I'm pumped for that.

But Guitar Hero ****ing ROCKS.
I had a blog. It sucked.

What's so cool about a Dragonforce song when they announced La Grange by ZZ Top?

Also, didn't we kinda agree that the large text thing was not cool anymore?

There's an easy way to announce you're excited about something other than posting it in ultra large text. It goes something like this:

Through the Fire and Flames - Dragonforce (Master Track (this is the one I'm super excited about))

I can assure you it wasn't really that hard to type that, and while it might not make you feel as though you've earned as many e-cool points, it makes you marginally less annoying.

Guitar Hero needs more Judas Priest.

guitar hero needs more folk music, i dont know about the game but will you have to hit every single note in the dragonforce solos and the intro to my name is jonas?
2007-07-26, 6:45 AM #14
To get 100% on the song, you do.

Most songs only need about 70% to win. (Although if you seriously screw up a part you'll fail)

I'd be much more excited about GHIII if there wasn't this little game called Rock Band in the works. To be perfectly honest, looking at what Rock Band is going to deliver, it is going to blow GH away in every facet. Don't get me wrong, the Guitar Hero franchise are my favorite games basically, but Rock Band is going to be amazing.

It's also going to cost $200...but it does have Enter Sandman in it...so it might be worth it.

Yeah, the cost of Rock Band is a huge factor for me, I can't see putting down $200 for the thing.

GH3 has me really excited. The setlist looks amazing so far, and I'm hoping for some more Dethklok, and looking forward some Xbox live rockin'.

Oh man...more Judas Priest would be amazing. The cover of them in the first game is one of my favorite songs on there. The Maiden covers have been pretty good too, or at least the Wratchild one was.

Some of the covers make me die a little bit inside...like War Pigs.

Electric Eye was in 80s Edition that just came out, and the song is awesome

Regarding the Rock Band thing, it's also gonna have full albums to play and download, the first one being The Who - Who's Next. That feature alone will make me want it. To play drums on Who's Next would make me cream my jeans. I really don't think price will matter as much as people say it will. People shelled out 90 bucks for Guitar Hero 2 on X360. If you want to play guitar/bass and the game, it will probably be around 110 dollars for those. In all reality, the price point of around 200 is pretty reasonable, and as long as they allow you to part it out, it'll be fine.

Sounds cool, pity there's no Zeppelin. They could release one that was 50% Zeppelin tracks and I would skeet my pants.

Oughta have La Villa Strangiato by Rush, though... I think Rock Band might? Neh.

Rock Band dev's say they have at least 6 Metallica songs ready, and they are most likely one of those bands like The Who that they want to delve really deep into their evolution of their catalog (aka album downloads)

Am I only one that thinks that list kinda... sucks? The only one that sounds fun is My Name is Jonas. It's cool that they're getting more master tracks... I think the only master from GH2 (excluding the bonus) was that Primus song.
